Cougar String Camp

Cougar String Camp Registration

and

Scholarship Application Form

for both the

General Scholarship
(individual partial scholarship)

and the

Quartet Fellowship
(group full scholarship)

Scholarships are awarded based on need and/or merit

Before beginning the application process, please carefully read the entire form and make sure that you have all the answers (especially the skill level teacher assessment). This form does not save, and you’ll have to start over again if you cannot finish it in one sitting.

To apply for the Quartet Fellowship or General Scholarship to Cougar String Camp, please complete the following form, but DO NOT PAY YET.

For the General Scholarship submit an unedited recording consisting of a three-octave scale (for basses—two octave scale), once played slowly for tone and vibrato, and once played in 16th notes at mm quarter-note=100, and two minutes of a piece of your choice (may be accompanied or unaccompanied).

To apply for the Quartet Fellowship each individual ensemble member must submit an application and a recording of a three octave scale and two minutes of a solo (as required on the scholarship application).  Additionally the group must submit a recording of an unedited performance of one or more movements of standard chamber music repertoire.

Recordings can be uploaded with your application, or mailed to Meredith Arksey, School of Music, Washington State University, Pullman, WA 99164-5300) or e-mail a link to a Dropbox or private YouTube link to marksey@wsu.edu.

If you’re not sure if you meet the minimum skill requirements listed on the string camp website, please contact Meredith Arksey and she will help you decide.
