To apply for the Quartet Fellowship or General Scholarship to Cougar String Camp, please complete the following form, but DO NOT PAY YET.
For the General Scholarship submit an unedited recording consisting of a three-octave scale (for basses—two octave scale), once played slowly for tone and vibrato, and once played in 16th notes at mm quarter-note=100, and two minutes of a piece of your choice (may be accompanied or unaccompanied).
To apply for the Quartet Fellowship each individual ensemble member must submit an application and a recording of a three octave scale and two minutes of a solo (as required on the scholarship application). Additionally the group must submit a recording of an unedited performance of one or more movements of standard chamber music repertoire. Recordings can be uploaded with your application, or mailed to Meredith Arksey, School of Music, Washington State University, Pullman, WA 99164-5300) or e-mail a link to a Dropbox or private YouTube link to email@example.com.If you’re not sure if you meet the minimum skill requirements listed on the string camp website, please contact Meredith Arksey and she will help you decide.
The form on this page is the Scholarship Application. The Scholarship Application and recordings are due by May 1st.Because you are applying for a scholarship, your payment will not be due until after you receive notification of a possible scholarship offer. You will be notified by May 10th about whether or not you will be awarded a scholarship, and if so, what your balance is (payable by check and due by May 17th).Cancellations prior to May 16, 2014 will be refunded.
