From the private sector to public service, an advanced degree speaks volumes to potential employers. For some students, a master’s or doctoral degree is a requirement of their chosen field; for others, a thirst for greater knowledge leads to advanced study.

Graduate students in the College of Arts and Sciences develop one-on-one relationships with their faculty mentors and study in small classes. Providing adequate support through fellowships and scholarships is a priority.

Washington State University’s excellent research faculty and cutting-edge research facilities are keys to being recognized as among 96 U.S. public and private universities with very high research activity by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching. WSU is also is ranked among the nation’s top research universities according to U.S. News & World Report.

Although most students complete their work in Pullman, many programs offer graduate programs at the Vancouver and Tri-Cities campuses.
