Faculty Comments
I have worked with a range of undergraduates, and Ms. Butzke ranks among the top in terms of her dedication and commitment to being an engaged sociologist and pursuing her professional passions. She is reliable, persistent, organized, and motivated. She has always demonstrated strong intellectual curiosity enabling her to broaden her perspective, see connections between ideas, and practice critical thinking. Sarah Whitley
Personal Statement
I just want to thank my family, friends, and professors for their infinite support. I have amazing parents and a sister who always care about me and what makes me happy, and who push me to be at my best. All of my professors, especially in the Sociology department, have always been there to teach me new lessons and answer my seemingly endless amounts of questions. I am so glad I was able to spend my undergrad at WSU, and with a shoutout to the Cougar Marching Band, with a fabulous community that I will never truly leave.
