Personal Statement

“As my time at WSU Pullman winds down, I want to make some final acknowledgments and reflect on my four years on the Palouse. First, I want to thank the CES program and the numerous professors I have had the chance to engage with intellectually. My understanding of social inequities has grown exponentially and has prepared me to establish social justice practices within my career path. Second, I want to express my deepest gratitude and love for the Black Student Union and the African American Student Center. I truly found a home, friends for a lifetime, and memories I will never forget. Finally, I want to recognize my family. I would not have been able to survive WSU if I could not call you 10 times a day.”

Future Plans

Next for Yubi is a position as a Youth Program Specialist for Evergreen Good Will. Over the next five years she plans to purchase a condo and find more passion projects.
