Flexible Support. Immediate Impact.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
Gifts to the Excellence Fund give us flexibility to support students and faculty and respond to needs as they arise. This support often makes the difference between having a good idea and being able to put it into action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Here are a few examples of what you helped make possible this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Career Ready, World Ready<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
Through Career Ready, World Ready, we are helping students recognize and build the skills they develop through an arts and sciences education. The initiative connects classroom learning with skills such as communication, collaboration, critical thinking, leadership, and AI literacy\u2014and helps students understand how those skills apply across careers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Urban Immersions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
Students traveled to Seattle and Spokane to meet with alumni, employers, and community organizations. These experiences gave them a closer look at different workplaces and career paths while helping them make professional connections. For many students, opportunities like these would be difficult to access without additional support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Support for Students and Faculty<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
The Excellence Fund supports student employees, graduate assistants, faculty projects, visiting scholars, and other needs across the college. It also allows us to respond to individual students facing unexpected financial challenges. In many cases, students come to us after they have exhausted every other option, and this fund provides a final source of support that can help them remain enrolled and continue working toward their degree. The fund also helps students and faculty attend conferences, pursue research, share their work, and participate in professional development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Programs and Community<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
Your gifts also support lectures, workshops, academic events, and the practical resources needed to keep programs moving forward. These may not always be the most visible investments, but they are important to the quality of the experiences we provide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
