Purpose
To recognize and honor outstanding undergraduate senior students who have excelled in academic performance and service to the department/school/program, the university and/or community during their academic career at Washington State University. One student from each academic degree in the College of Arts and Sciences will be recognized:

- Earth and Environmental Science
- English
- Foreign Languages and Cultures

- Human Biology

- Sociology
- Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies
- Zoology
Eligibility Criteria
- College of Arts and Sciences undergraduate students who will graduate in spring/summer/fall of 2026.
- Currently enrolled on the WSU Pullman campus.
- Documented record of outstanding academic performance and valuable contributions or service to the department/school/program, Washington State University and/or the community during their undergraduate studies at WSU.
Nomination Process
Individual nominations must be submitted to the nominee’s chair or director (or their designee) for consideration and endorsement. Nominators should check with the appropriate chair or director for the department’s nomination procedure, documents, and deadline.
Submission Process
Each undergraduate degree program selects its Outstanding Senior from the nominations received by the unit’s chair or director. Academic unit chairs and directors are responsible for completing the Outstanding Seniors submission form.
Additional honors
All Outstanding Senior finalists will be reviewed by the College of Arts and Sciences for consideration of special recognition at the spring and fall commencement ceremonies.
2026 Outstanding Seniors
Awardees will be recognized on Friday, May 8, 2026
Final Submission
Once the 2026 Outstanding Senior has been determined, please use this form to submit your final choice by Monday, February 23, 2026.
