Annual Process and Timeline

Arts and Sciences Faculty and Staff,

The process for award nominations has changed. There is now a single electronic form that you can use to make a nomination. The deadline to submit nominations to chairs and directors is 5:00 p.m. on January 26, 2026.

Chairs and directors must submit the unit’s nominations to cas.awards@wsu.edu by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, February 2, 2026.

The instructions below outline the steps for our new process. If you have questions, please contact cas.awards@wsu.edu.

  1. Review Awards Information for a list of available awards and eligibility criteria.
  2. Nominations are submitted through the CAS Awards Nomination Form.
    • Near the end of the form, you will be asked to specify who should receive the nomination by email, typically the unit chair or director.
  3. Nominations are received via email and may include file attachments.
    • Reviewers and review committees must forward the email with attachments to their chair or director.
    • Chairs and Directors that receive the email may forward complete nomination packets to cas.awards@wsu.edu.

Awardees are notified in mid-March.

The College of Arts and Sciences Awards Reception is held each year in mid-April.
