Early Career Achievement-Tenure Track

Purpose

Recognizes faculty who have demonstrated outstanding accomplishments in research and/or creative activity early in their professional career.

Criteria

A record of outstanding research accomplishments and/or creative activity since earning a terminal degree and the positive impact of this work within their discipline and on students; evidence of a growing national or international recognition in the academic community. Nominees will be evaluated on their body of work since earning their terminal degree.

Specific Eligibility

Tenure-track faculty who are at the assistant rank in their appointment as a WSU faculty member.

Required Materials

All nomination packets must include the following materials:

  • Nominee’s Curriculum Vitae
  • Date of first faculty appointment at WSU
  • Nomination Letter (Limit of one page)

A broad description of why the nominee is deserving of the award. Cite specific examples of lifetime accomplishments, publications, and recognition. Focus on the impact of the nominee’s work throughout their career, within the discipline, across the institution, in external communities, and/or on students as appropriate. Include internal and external recognition of note.
