Purpose
Recognizes and honors master’s students in the humanities disciplines for outstanding academic performance, achievements in research, scholarly, and/or creative activity, and contributions or service to their academic unit, the college, and Washington State University.
Criteria
Outstanding academic performance, strong scholarly and/or creative productivity, interdisciplinary research and/or collaborations, service, and professional growth during graduate studies at WSU.
Specific Eligibility
Students enrolled in a master’s degree program offered by the Department of English, Department of History, or School of Languages, Cultures, and Race and who are on track to complete their degree in 2026 (spring, summer, or fall).

All nomination packets must include the following materials:
- Nominee’s Curriculum Vitae
- Expected Date of Graduation
- Expected Degree
- Nomination Letter (Limit of one page)
A broad description of why the nominee is deserving of the award. Cite specific examples of relevant accomplishments, publications, and recognition. Focus on the impact of the nominee’s work within the discipline, unit, across the institution, and/or on students as appropriate.
