Supporting Your Unit’s Development, Alumni Relations & Engagement Efforts
Our team is here to partner with you to strengthen donor relationships, enhance alumni engagement, and ensure the success of your fundraising and stewardship efforts. Below is a guide to the services and support we provide to help you achieve your goals.
Scholarships
- Send out all scholarship notifications to students.
- Provide up-to-date fund balances to units and scholarship committees.
- Facilitate communication with scholarship committees.
- Create flyers and mass communication for student outreach.
Events
- Maintain and provide event lists for alumni and donors.
- Develop email invitation templates.
- Supply pledge cards and envelopes for fundraising events.
Alumni Engagement for Lectureships & Class Presentations
- Arrange and pay for speaker parking.
- Provide CAS-branded swag bags for speakers.
- Identify and recommend alumni/donors as potential speakers or attendees.
List Requests for Newsletters & Events
- Ensure compliance with all pertinent rules related to alumni and donor lists and communication controls (do not contact, no solicitation, etc…)
- Provide alumni lists for units traveling to conferences or other engagements.
- Collaborate with the Communications team to ensure data is correct for newsletter distribution.
Annual Giving & CougsGive
- Assist in identifying key fundraising priorities.
- Create and manage unit-specific giving pages for CougsGive.
- Create annual giving content and solicitations on behalf of the College in support of departmental priorities.
- Collaborate with the WSU Foundation Annual Giving Team.
- Provide strategies and outreach support for CougsGive and Giving Tuesday to maximize donor participation.
CougStarter
- Share information and guidance with student groups and clubs interested in fundraising.
Stewardship
- Generate and distribute gift reports.
- Assist with departmental stewardship efforts when appropriate.
Gift Processing
- Process checks and facilitate deposits.
- Generate QR codes and direct links for online giving for specific funds.
Social Media & Online Giving
- Draft fundraising-related content for unit websites and giving pages.
- Collaborate with the Communications team on social media strategy to promote giving opportunities.
- Provide messaging and campaign materials for digital fundraising efforts.
