Service and Outreach

Service is a vital part of faculty life, from departmental governance to public engagement. The College values effective service wherein the faculty member takes an active and collaborative role in departmental, college, university, community, and professional activities. Chairs and mentoring committees should advise faculty members on the appropriate balance between departmental, college, university, professional, and community service commitments in alignment with expectations specific to the department, discipline, and rank of the faculty. All faculty are expected to contribute to a positive community and culture and contribute in positive ways as colleagues, mentors, advisors, contributors, and leaders.

We’re always looking for faculty to help on college and university committees. Share your interests with us in this short survey, so we know of your interests when opportunities for engagement arise.
