Outstanding Career Achievement-Tenure Track

Purpose

Recognizes faculty who have a high level, long-standingnational or international reputation for contributions in research and/orcreative activity, and who have influenced the research and/or creative activities of students.

Criteria

Outstanding research, scholarly, and/or creative accomplishments with a positive impact on their discipline and on students; distinguished national and international recognition in the academic community.  Nominees will be evaluated on their body of work since earning their terminal degree.

Specific Eligibility

Tenured faculty within the college at the full professor rank at WSU.

Required Materials

All nomination packets must include the following materials:

  • Nominee’s Curriculum Vitae
  • Date of first faculty appointment at WSU
  • Nomination Letter (Limit of one page)

A broad description of why the nominee is deserving of the award. Cite specific examples of lifetime accomplishments, publications, and recognition. Focus on the impact of the nominee’s work throughout their career, within the discipline, across the institution, in external communities, and/or on students as appropriate. Include internal and external recognition of note.
