Purpose
Recognizes faculty who have a national or international reputation for contributions in research and/or artistic creativity, and who have influenced the research and/or creative activities of students.
Criteria
A record of exemplary research or creative accomplishments since earning a terminal degree and the positive impact of this work within their discipline and on students; established national or international recognition in an academic community. Nominees will be evaluated on their body of work since earning their terminal degree.
Specific Eligibility
Tenured or tenure-track faculty within the college at the associate level at WSU at the time of nomination.

Required Materials
All nomination packets must include the following materials:
- Nominee’s Curriculum Vitae
- Date of first faculty appointment at WSU
- Nomination Letter (Limit of one page)
A broad description of why the nominee is deserving of the award. Cite specific examples of lifetime accomplishments, publications, and recognition. Focus on the impact of the nominee’s work throughout their career, within the discipline, across the institution, in external communities, and/or on students as appropriate. Include internal and external recognition of note.
