What is the CAS Grant and Fellowship Support Team?
The GFS facilitates faculty efforts to obtain extramural grants and fellowships. The team works out of the CAS dean's office.

How can we help?
The GFS Team offers the following assistance to faculty:
- Identifying funding sources.
- Timely notification of funding opportunities for individuals and teams.
- Development of white papers/letters of inquiry.
- Development of funding strategies appropriate to career stage.
- Proposal preparation and submission assistance.
- Budget pre-approval.
- Liaison with OGRD.
- Development of online tools and guides for CAS scholars.
- Coordinate in-house reviews of draft proposals.
- Cultivate and support major fellowship applications.

Support for innovative tenure-track faculty activites across broad range of research, teaching, student engagement, outreach and/or creative work.

Support the research and creative endeavors of Department of English faculty.

Buchanan Distinguished Scholarship/Professorship creates up to three distinguished scholarships/professorships for faculty within the Department of English.
Deadline: April 1, 2013 by 5:00 p.m.
Edward R. Meyer Project Awards support faculty members in developing projects that are likely to lead to impactful and visible scholarship.

Faculty Travel Grants support opportunities for faculty to conduct data-gathering trips, present original scholarship and creative products, and develop collaborations to advance scholarly and creative activities.
