Proposal Development Resources at WSU

From identifying funding opportunities to ensuring research compliance and more, grant and fellowship proposal writing requires attention and resources. In addition to the CAS GFS team, these WSU resources are available to help develop competitive proposals and applications.

Office of Research Support and Operations (ORSO)/WSU Policies and Guidelines

ORSO is the university’s central office to manage research-related legal and ethical compliance as well as proposal processing and submission.

MyResearch

This research database tracks and helps manage grant proposals, awards, and protocols. It includes a proposal development toolbox and links to mandatory training, including the CITI Responsible Conduct of Research module.

PIVOT

PIVOT is a comprehensive database of federal and non-federal funding opportunities (requires registration using a WSU email account).

Office of Research Advancement and Partnerships (ORAP)

ORAP serves as the university’s central proposal development service for federal funding opportunities. Among other activities, ORAP offers a variety of workshops and trainings on proposal development topics.

Office of Foundation Relations

This office supports funding proposals to private foundations such as the MJ Murdock Charitable Trust, Gates Foundation, and many more.

Sponsored Project Services (SPS)

SPS is the university’s central office for post-award grant administration.
