How your gifts made an impact in 2025-2026:
Student Support and Success.
Supported six mathematics student clubs by providing food and refreshments during meetings, helping create a welcoming environment that encourages student engagement, collaboration, and a sense of community among students with shared academic interests.
Covered conference travel costs for students presenting research, ensuring that students incurred no out-of-pocket expenses. This support allows students to share their research, gain professional experience, build academic networks, and enhance the visibility and reputation of the department.
Recruitment and Retention.
Hosted four prospective graduate students and their families with campus tours and lunch visits. These activities provide a personalized introduction to the department, demonstrate the department’s commitment to student success, and help recruit talented graduate students who will contribute to the department’s teaching and research mission.
Department Community and Culture.
Sponsored a department picnic for faculty, staff, students, and their families, fostering camaraderie and strengthening relationships across the department.
