• Undergraduate Research Symposium: Through the Excellence Fund, the Department of Psychology was able to invite a renowned speaker, providing travel and lodging. This funding enabled us to secure space for the presentation and the poster session showcasing WSU/CAS undergraduate student research that followed, as well as necessary equipment.
• Undergraduate Research Grants: Undergraduate WSU Psychology students can apply for the Excellence Fund supported research awards in order to conduct studies with the guidance of faculty members in the department. A number of these projects have been so outstanding in quality that they were also presented at national and international scientific meetings.
• Industry Tours: Because of the Excellence Fund, WSU Psychology majors have an opportunity to visit a variety of employers with whom they may wish to seek positions upon graduation. Dr. Blythe Duell coordinates the Tour, who finds this critical because of multiple options available for psychology degree holders.
