Janet Peters, clinical assistant professor, psychology, WSU Tri-Cities, was named to receive President’s Distinguished Teaching Award for Instructors and Clinical Faculty at WSU Showcase 2020.
Maureen Schmitter-Edgecombe, professor, psychology, was chosen to deliver the Distinguished Faculty Address at WSU Showcase 2019.
Amy Nusbam, graduate student, psychology, was named a fellow for the Yale Ciencia Academy for Career Development by Ciencia Puerto Rico in collaboration with Yale University.
Stephanie Bauman, associate professor, psychology, WSU Tri-Cities, co-authored “Exploring and Promoting the College Attendance and Success of Racial/Ethnic Minority Students” in Journal of Multicultural Counseling and Development.
Ken Faunce, instructor, history, and Ashley Boyd, assistant professor, and Susan Ross, professor, English, individually received WSU Samuel H. and Patricia W. Smith Teaching and Learning awards. Dee Posey, clinical associate professor, and Janet Peters, clinical assistant professor, psychology, were jointly awarded.
Sheryl DeShields, secretary senior, psychology, received the WSU Crimson Spirit Award.
David Marcus, chair and professor, psychology, was named Group Psychologist of the Year by the American Psychological Association’s Society of Group Psychology and Group Psychotherapy (Division 49). Marcus is a society fellow and current editor of its journal Group Dynamics: Theory, Research, and Practice.
