Languages, Cultures, and Race: Vilma Navarro-Daniels

Vilma Navarro-Daniels, professor of Spanish and film studies, has been elected to the Modern Language Association of America (MLA) Delegate Assembly for a three-year term to represent the geographic membership region of the Western United States and Western Canada: Alaska, California, Hawai‘i, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, Washington; Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Saskatchewan. The Delegate Assembly is the MLA’s largest body of governance, and its members play an invaluable role in shaping the future of the profession.
