Timeline & Responsibilities
Scholarship and Fellowship Offers
Per Washington State University policy, all email scholarship communication must be conducted using your official WSU email address.
Offer letters from the College of Arts and Sciences and its academic units will be emailed to recipients beginning in mid-March and continuing throughout the spring semester.
Students who are not selected will not receive notification.
Accepting an Offer
Recipients must officially accept or decline all scholarship or fellowship offers by the date indicated in their offer letter(s), which will be sent to their WSU email address.
If you experience extenuating circumstances that prevent you from meeting the deadline, please contact the CAS scholarship coordinator as soon as possible.
Recipient Requirements & Expectations
Requirements
Recipients must write a thank you letter to each donor or stewardee of each scholarship or fellowship and return the letter(s) to the CAS scholarship coordinator no later than the date indicated in the offer letter(s).
If your acceptance form and thank you letter(s) are not received by the stated deadline, the offer(s) will be rescinded and the scholarship(s) or fellowship(s) will be offered to another student.
If your eligibility or enrollment status changes, you are required to notify the CAS scholarship coordinator in a timely manner.
Expectations
Attend your department/school/program award ceremony each year you receive scholarship and/or fellowship.
Attend events or meetings with donors when requested. Wear business casual or nice Coug attire to all events associated with the scholarship or fellowship.
