CAS student-athletes earn PAC-12 academic honors in rowing

multiple rowing oars on the grassEleven CAS student-athletes on the WSU women’s rowing team earned Pac-12 academic honors for 2018-2019. The WSU team led the league with a total of 23 honorees, followed by Stanford and the University of Washington.

To be eligible for selection to the PAC-12 academic teams, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade point average, compete in a minimum of 50 percent of competitions, and be in at least her second academic year at the institution.

Meet these outstanding women:

First Team
Renee Kemp, junior, biology: 3.82 GPA
Emily Austin, sophomore, zoology: 4.00 GPA
Abigail Linnenkohl, sophomore, undeclared*: 3.88 GPA
Chloe White, sophomore, biology: 3.92 GPA
Katelyn Ware, sophomore, undeclared: 3.93 GPA

Second Team
Emma Barrett, sophomore, undeclared: 3.71 GPA
Linnea Davison, junior, psychology: 3.60 GPA
Kailey Kassuba, sophomore, undeclared: 3.57 GPA

Honorable Mention 
Sue Yu, junior, undeclared: 3.22 GPA
Emily Weible, senior, psychology/sport science: 3.11 GPA
Madeleine Bingham, senior, environmental & ecosystem science: 3.00 GPA

*Many undeclared students are advised by the College of Arts and Sciences.
