Faculty Comments

Addy is diligent, curious, and respectful to all of her professors, and has taken advantage of every academic opportunity she has been given at WSU. She is a model student who always gives her best to every class she takes.

As good as Addy is academically and musically, she is an even better person. She has had an enormous positive impact on the horn studio. She is always encouraging and supportive of the other horn students. She has a great attitude and is a very teachable student. She has a positive impact on any ensemble or organization of which she is a part. She has dealt with being far from home in a different country with incredible grace and resilience. She has always looked at the challenges of being an international student as problems to be overcome rather than barriers that would stop her from getting to her goals. Martin D. King

Personal Statement

Throughout my four years at WSU I have received so many unimaginable opportunities that have allowed me to learn and grow not only as a musician but as a person. I am so thankful to the School of Music faculty for always believing in me and inspiring me to be the best I can be in every aspect of my life. People often ask me why I love WSU, and I always respond with “the Cougar spirit is contagious.” There truly isn’t any place like Pullman and I couldn’t be more proud to attend this university and call myself a Coug.

Future Plans

For visa reasons, Addy will return home to Canada, spend a year working, and audition for the Calgary Philharmonic. She will also teach privately, then possibly enter graduate school. She is interested in higher education as a professor and would also like to perform in a military band.
