Faculty Comments

Outside the classroom, Dallas has been a consistent leader within the DTC program. He has used his skills and knowledge as one of our virtual tutors during the 2020–21 school year. He’s also constantly proposing ideas for how to get more students to access the service. In 2019 he won the DTC Emerging Scholar Award, which is given to a freshman or sophomore DTC student who represents academic, creative, and scholarly excellence.

The DTC faculty are constantly in awe of Dallas’ diverse array of talents and his unwavering generosity towards others. We know that, no matter where he goes, he will be a valuable and thoughtful contributor. Ruth Gregory

Personal Statement

I want to start out by saying thank you to everyone in the WSU Community. My experience at WSU has been so amazing, it has allowed me to grow and learn in a multitude of different ways. I have had the opportunity to meet a variety of different individuals who have aided in my growth. Thank you again to the incredible professors and faculty in both the DTC and Fine Arts programs. I came to WSU wanting to be a graphic designer and, yes, that is what I am leaving as, but the amount of extra knowledge, connections, and education I have received will allow me to be more than just a graphic designer. I wouldn’t trade anything for this experience and time as a COUG. Thank you and Go Cougs!

Future Plans

Dallas hopes to be a creative director and to help the arts, athletics, and his community.
