Spring Awards: Nominations open!
The College of Arts and Sciences will celebrate the outstanding accomplishments of our colleagues at the annual Appreciation and Recognition Social in April. Now is the time to nominate faculty, staff, and graduate students for awards in a variety of scholarly, research, creative, and service categories.
A two-stage process supports equitable consideration across the college.
Faculty and staff are encouraged to nominate peers for recognition by submitting a completed nomination form to the nominee’s academic chair or director for consideration. Chairs and directors will forward approved nominations to the CAS awards committee. Each unit may submit up to two names for each award.

Graduate student awards
- Master’s student achievement
- PhD student achievement
The deadline for the first stage will vary by unit; nominators should inquire with the appropriate chair or director for deadlines/details. The second-stage deadline for approved nominations from each unit is January 16, 2015.
Outstanding seniors in each of our undergraduate degree programs are nominated through a separate process within each academic unit and are recognized at a dedicated event the day before May commencement.
