Professors recognized for teaching excellence

TwoWSU Spirit Mark. arts & sciences faculty members teaching in two of the most popular disciplines at WSU have been honored by the Washington State University Teaching Academy for their excellence in teaching and learning across the institution.“The committee was pleased to review many outstanding submissions for all of our awards this year,” said Samantha Gizerian, chair of the academy’s grants and awards committee. “Those chosen as recipients truly embody the depth and breadth of efforts and contributions made by our faculty.”

Teaching Academy Award for Excellence in Teaching a Large Class
This award recognizes achievement in teaching in one of the most difficult contexts—class sections of more than 50 students.

Carrie Cuttler

  • Department of Psychology
  • Teaching: Elementary Statistics in Psychology; Experimental Methods in Psychology; Abnormal Psychology; Fundamentals of Developmental Psychology; and more.
  • Research: The Health and Cognition Lab examines links between cannabis use and mental health, physical health, stress, and cognition.
