Career Track
Four awards are available to honor career track faculty success and accomplishments.
Outstanding Career Achievement
Recognizes faculty who have a high-level, long-standing reputation for leadership in teaching; scholarship, research, or creative activity; and/or service; and who have influenced the research and/or creative activities of students.
Specific eligibility: Career track faculty with a professional career at WSU of 16 years or more at the time of nomination.
Nomination packet should include:
- A broad description (limit of two pages) of why the nominee is deserving of the award. Cite specific examples of relevant accomplishments, publications, and recognition. Include external recognition as appropriate.
- Additional documentation of outstanding accomplishments in teaching, research, scholarly work, or creative activity as appropriate.
- At least one letter of support or testimonial from a peer, student, and/or external constituent is required. If including course evaluations, limit the report to score summaries and selected comments and a maximum of three pages.
- CV limit: 20 pages.

Mid-Career Achievement
Recognizes faculty who have developed a record of leadership in teaching; scholarship, research, or creative activity; and/or service, and who have influenced the research and/or creative activities of students.
Specific eligibility: Career track faculty with a professional career at WSU of at least seven years and no more than 15 years at the time of nomination.
Nomination packet should include:
- A broad description (limit of two pages) of why the nominee is deserving of the award. Cite specific examples of relevant accomplishments and recognition as appropriate.
- Additional documentation of outstanding accomplishments in teaching, research, scholarly work, or creative activity as appropriate.
- At least one letter of support or testimonial from a peer, student, and/or external constituent is required. If including course evaluations, limit the report to score summaries and selected comments and a maximum of three pages.
- CV limit: 20 pages.

Early Career Achievement
Recognizes faculty who have demonstrated outstanding accomplishments in teaching, scholarly and creative and/or service activity early in their professional career.
Specific eligibility: Career track faculty who are within the first four years of their full-time appointment at WSU at the time of nomination.
Nomination packet should include:
- A broad description (limit of two pages) of why the nominee is deserving of the award. Cite specific examples of relevant accomplishments and recognition as appropriate.
- Additional documentation of outstanding accomplishments in teaching, research, scholarly work, or creative activity as appropriate.
- At least one letter of support or testimonial from a peer, student, and/or external constituent is required. If including course evaluations, limit the report to score summaries and selected comments and a maximum of three pages.
- CV limit: 20 pages.

Interdisciplinary Catalyst
Recognizes a faculty or staff who have demonstrated the sustained capacity to bring colleagues together across disciplinary and institutional boundaries in service of shared accomplishments in research, scholarly and creative activity, and/or teaching.
Specific eligibility: Open to all full-time faculty and staff, regardless of rank.
Nomination packet should include:
- A broad description (limit of two pages) of why the nominee is deserving of the award. Cite specific examples of relevant accomplishments and recognition.
- At least one letter of support or testimonial from a peer, student, and/or external constituent is required.
