Faculty member featured at football game

three faculty members on the football fieldOmar Cornejo, assistant professor in the School of Biological Sciences, was honored as one of the WSU provost’s featured faculty during the Cougars’ football game against New Mexico State.

“Teaching at WSU allows me to encourage undergraduate and graduate students to take our newly generated knowledge in wonderful and unanticipated directions in the future,” said Cornejo. “I have the opportunity to increase our understanding of the genomic basis of host and pathogen evolution, as well as the genomic impact of domestication on species.”
